About Anne Arundel County Farm Bureau
Anne Arundel County’s agricultural industry remains a vital part of the local economy and rural landscape, with 454 farms spanning more than 36,000 acres and generating over $25 million in agricultural sales. From grain and vegetable production to nursery, greenhouse livestock and equine operations, agriculture contributes to both the county’s economy and its unique character, As one of Maryland’s more urbanized counties, preserving farmland and supporting the next generation of farmers is more important than ever. The Anne Arundel County Farm Bureau is committed to protecting the county’s agricultural heritage through advocacy, farmland preservation efforts and agricultural education initiatives that help ensure farming remains a viable and sustainable industry for future generations.
