Maryland Farm Bureau Foundation
The Maryland Farm Bureau Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit charitable organization created to deepen understanding of agriculture and rural issues and to support Maryland's farm and rural communities through education, research, and disaster relief.
Established by the Maryland Farm Bureau, the Foundation adopted its bylaws on March 23, 2026, and is already putting that mission to work across the state.
2026 Scholarship Recipients
In its first year, the Foundation awarded 5 $2,000 scholarships to five students from five Maryland counties who are continuing their education in agriculture and related fields. From the Eastern Shore to Western Maryland, these students represent the future of our industry, and we're proud to help them get there.
Supporting Youth at the Maryland State Fair
At the 2026 Maryland State Fair, the Foundation stood behind young livestock exhibitors who put in months of work raising and showing their animals. Supporting youth in the show ring builds the skills, responsibility, and leadership that carry into every part of agriculture.
CowFest 2026
CowFest 2026, presented by Maryland Farm Bureau, brings agriculture to life for families and the public, helping connect Marylanders with where their food comes from and the farmers who produce it. Join us on Sunday, October 25th along with the Frederick Flying Cows!
