Located on Maryland's lower Eastern Shore, Wicomico County is home to 384 farms covering more than 69,000 acres. The county ranks first in Maryland for the total market value of agricultural products sold, making agriculture one of its strongest economic drivers. Wicomico County's diverse farming community produces a wide variety of commodities, including poultry, grain, fruits, vegetables, nursery and greenhouse products, hay, cattle, livestock, and aquaculture. From family farms to large agricultural operations, producers play a vital role in supporting the local economy while providing food, fiber, and other essential resources for Maryland and beyond.
